My question is – are the doctor’s scales more accurate or is it just me? you see I’ve been trying to lose weight – every week – i try to weigh myself and my scales don’t work! yes i have a few – one in my bedroom and another in my bathroom – and i even have another scale in my basement – where my exercise machine is. The Wii fit tells me that my weight is going up and down on a daily basis – though – but whenever i visit my doctor – his scales always tells me i’m losing 0.5 kg or 1 kg – so pray tell me – is the doctor’s scales more accurate or is it just our home scales that isn’t working right? do i have to invest on the doctor’s scale just to motivate myself? you know it’s hard to be exercising everyday and seeing no change in one’s weight – oh! and i eat the same thing – in fact more careful actually in what i put in my mouth.
Have you ever tried watching a movie in bed? or a tv show? or play a game ? or even use your laptop to work – while the kid or spouse play a game in your bedroom? I have – i tried all 3 and what happened? it does not work!!!!! no matter what you do – or how much pillows you use behind your back – it is never comfy – and can you imagine laying on your tummy and playing a game – the POOR KIDS!!! So if you ever want to watch a movie/tv show in bed – you have to consider an adjustable bed. So we went looking around at some adjustable beds because that’s the only way – the spouse and I can do things together in one room – instead of one in the living room and another in the computer room. This will in fact save us a lot of money during the winter – whereby you only need to heat up one room instead of two. Plus really an adjustable bed is the only way one can watch tv comfortably without straining your neck. So you see all the benefits – save money on heat bills – health issues and spending together time with the spouse and kids. Yes an investment but i think it’s worth it – what do you think?
I was just looking thru’ some Hong Kong magazines and saw some places that celebrities lived in – and boy! you gotta admire them. From the huge space to the decor – and the home furnishing – all tastefully picked. I love the kitchen best – why? because when we were decorating our home – I chose one that was in a magazine and followed it really closely. Afterall, you can’t really go wrong can you ? I even read about how they had refrigerator filter for their fridge and also all the tips about keeping their fridge neat and storing their fruits and food. My water is clean and clearer and doesn’t taste like chlorine anymore – yipeee!! thanks to all these celebs – they do have good tips – or do they have good designers for them home? What about you? do you read and take advice from magazines you read?
So I’ve just finished watching Sex and the City 2 last night – well – lets just say – I missed them in the movies but am glad I found it online and watched it. Was I disappointed? kinda ! because – it was supposed to be hotter – sexier and better than the first one – but I think I liked the first one a lot more. And did you see the clothing that the ladies wore? Not just cardigan sweaters but really glamorous clothing even when they were in Abu Dhabi. We know that Jessica Parker has some outrageous clothing but this time round – just about everyone has outrageous fashion – in such hot, hot weather – in the middle of the dessert and riding a camel’s back. Tell me about outrageous! but for me – I loved the first sex and the city movie more – but the tv sitcom was much better.
But what’s more outrageous were the Abu Dhabi women wearing Louis Vuitton underneath all their cover up? mannnn!!! how can they take the heat right? If i were in Abu Dhabi – i would be wearing light sweaters, jeans and open knitted cardigan for the evenings because i hear it gets cold then. But sorry no shiny Michael Jackson’s shoulder pats that Kim Cattrall had in the disco/Karaoke pleaseeee!! that is just so 80s!! Don’t get me wrong – i love the glamor dresses like the night gown that Jessica Parker wore at the end of the show – when they were watching this black and white movie – because it’s just so right. But if i were traveling and going on a camel – sorry ladies – i want something really comfy and no high heels for me in the sand – just quite ridiculous if you asked me. What do you think? don’t hate me for giving my opinion but i’m no fashion critic but just someone who loves Sex and the City.

The show is getting really good – and even though we don’t see very much of Shanghai scenery in this show – we know that there are lot of Online Schools that the folks in Shanghai uses to finish their courses. Just like Lum Tai – who studied in the United States – who is Hanson’s buddy – who just came back from USA – after finishing school and doing his BA online while on the job. So Lum Tai managed to get the LCD parts for the factory to save factory? So Albert was Hanson’s mother’s first boyfriend!!! revelation eh ! so is he doing what he did because of revenge? When Lanes Merge Episode 11 is out for watching. Poor Taxi Kor and Turbo lah! Are you watching it yet? do you think Taxi Kor will wake up – will he make it ? Will Turbo go to jail? this is definitely more interesting than the weight loss stories but the girlfriend said i need to read them because then i will be motivated. Therefore, I was late in writing the synopsis – so sorry everyone…!! but this episode is getting interesting and exciting because the real culprit – we all know who he is but Mun Lui’s cousin – is so silly to witness for him. While reading about Lipofuze I saw the Nanyang Siang Pau reported that Nicholas Tse has hired two bodyguards for his wife Cecilia Cheung’s recent visit to Shanghai to prevent her and old flame Edison Chen from meeting up. So is this a case of overly protective husband or is it crazy Cecilia Cheung acting up here? Cheung had been invited to Shanghai for a commercial event, while Chen was there to check out his newly-opened boutique. Cheung was among celebrities involved in the Edison Chen sex photo scandal two years ago. The incident forced Chen as well as the women involved to put their careers on hold. But I’m sure Edison doesn’t wanna have anything to do with Cecilia and surely they all can be civil at this point of time no?

Yesterday’s episode saw that Poh Low Yeh passed away and Chong Ling’s cousin sold their entire family out and is even willing to give up their ancestor’s burial land to get into the good book of the judge. You and I know that it’s the biggest dishonor to one’s family when we try and move the burial ground of your ancestors and to think that the cousin could do that. Anyhow, on the death bed of Chong Ling’s father – he wants Chong Ling to go become a “koon” so that he can help the commoners – therefore this is very interesting to see. So Ray Lui a veteran with TVB has a book published – an autobiography that includes his 3 marriages and the secret marriage to Kathy Chow. I didn’t even know that he married Kathy Chow – hahah!! that’s how ill informed i am. But i guess not many people knew that too – coz’ i had to go on my laptop and find a picture of Kathy Chow – to make sure that this is who she is. For the benefit of those who are not familiar with Kathy Chow – below is a picture of her.
The autobiography is called “The Path is Unlimited and Wide” and I guess his current wife – Yeung Siu Kuen is fine with it. I wonder how Cally Kwong feels about it – since she actually like dropped outta the limelight as soon as they got married. I wonder how she is doing now because i haven’t heard much about her. But according to Ray Lui – their marriage was a mistake and they have different opinion all the time. Marriage only lasted for 3 months although they waited till later to get a divorce. I don’t know his present wife – Yeung Siu Kuen but according to 50 yrs old Ray – he said he is the happiest. i hope i can get an english copy of his autobiography.

Bosco didn’t really go naked or topless lah ! it was during filming that he had accidentally exposed his nipples but his nipples are darn expensive lor and would cost him a 6 figure fine on each nipple revealed in movies or public it seems with an advertiser. But he sure was looking good – according to what i hear – must be taking lots of vitamins and lots of exercises recently to promote his new album.
Bosco himself had joked that his nipples were very expensive and fans would like to know when the topless ban would be lifted. But re-negotiation is possible it seems – if he was gonna do a personal photo book. So for those waiting to see Bosco Wong go topless – there is HOPE! hehe! Cecilia Chung sure lost a lot of weight after just one month of giving birth to her second kid. I wonder if she took any special exercises or diet program and while we are at losing weight – i was reading about the apidexin scam anyone heard of it?
Anyhow, we all know about Cecilia Chung’s scandal from a few years ago – and how Nicolas and even her in -laws who are both in the show business readily forgave her and now she is on the mend and ready to make a comeback so we heard. But can anyone really forget about the scandal? Sure! Cecilia claimed that she was the victim – but in all the pictures – we all can see that she was having a jolly good time. I don’t grudge her for the pictures she took – but she certainly left a deep impression on me and I’m sure a lot of you would feel the same. Seriously, I feel for Nicholas – and he was such a champ about everything.
Fans of Different Strokes from years ago – or grew up watching midget like Gary Coleman are going to miss him. I grew up watching Different Strokes as a teenager – and yes I do like the smart ass kid in the show. But Gary Coleman didn’t grow old well – in my humble opinion. Some said that even the best acne treatment wouldn’t cure Gary’s attitude.
He was 42 when he died in the hospital after a fall – the fall resulted to some hemorrhage or bleeding in his brain. He then went into a coma and was on life support. His wife – Shannon Price then made the decision to take the life support off early morning. Poor Gary – had been accused of abusing his wife constantly – just a few months ago – he was also asked the same question on air. There were also debt involved and a few other things going on with Gary Coleman’s life before he died. But he will be missed and he did provide me with hours of entertainment when i was a kid – for that I thank him.
I like Michael Tao from the current – Sister of Pearls show airing on tvb now. I’ve always like Michael because he is afterall a veteran actor – his acting is really good. Rumor has it that he is seeing some younger gal – a younger version of his ex – Sonjia. So here i was reading about my term life ins and minding my own business when this picture came thru’ my email. Of course, i had to see what was the gossip eh. But Michael denies the allegation that he is interested in young girls and said he cannot even remember when he took this picture nor know the girl in this photo. He is still very single but is happy with his current situation. Well, good luck – Michael and even if it was true – so what – he is afterall, single right..??

For those who are fans of Sex and the City – and watched Sex and the City the movie already – i’m sure you are looking forward to the second movie. I had actually thought the first movie was the finale for Sex and the City but apparently – we were all wrong. So when the bestie showed me the sneak peek of it – i just had to stop all my alli reviews and watched it. My review ? so far so good – and to think that Jessica might cheat on Mr Big with Aidan her other boyfriend that she almost got married to but didn’t in the end – well, well, well! But i must say – i am really looking forward to watching it on the big screen – but i think i would wait for the dvd to come out and then watch it with a bunch of g/fs and have a champagne party – what about you ?
Sister Of Pearls Episode 4 is up for watching – woohoo..!! only 4 episodes and I’m already liking the show a lot but I cannot say i like Jessica Hsuen’s acting – what about you ..?? i do like her.. but she seems so stiff - it’s almost like it is predictable? or am i watching too many shows..?? hahahha!!! Anyhow, I’ve heard good reviews about this show from many people – my g/f who is on a job search – still made time for this show everyday – she said she wouldn’t missed it for anything. Another thing I want to mention are the pearls in this show – very nice indeed but one who loves jewelery can definitely see at first sight that they are costume jewelery and not real pearls – quite disappointing if you asked me.
