Awwww..!!  no more steamy photos, Edison?  what a bummer!!!  hhahaha!!  ok I was kidding – but so was Edison i have to say – he vows to the press in Taiwan that he wasn’t gonna be stupid again – but you and I know – that the boy just wouldn’t smarten up ! not even after the last scandal that almost cost him his career.  He had to go into hiding for 2 years and less than 6 months – he is at it again.  To hear him promise that he wasn’t gonna be stupid again – well – lets just wait for another round – the next time I  bet it would be bigger.

The girlfriends in the States are all talking about the Kindle Fire – which is going on sale at $199 but darn!  it’s not for those living in Canada!  what a bummer!  but as expected – since we had to get our Kindle last year during Christmas thru’ a friend in the US and then got her to mail it to us.   Suxs! for us Canadians right?  but those in the USA – you can pre-order yours now and get yours mailed to you for free in November 2011.

So what is this Kindle Fire you asked – well – it’s supposed to work just like the iPad but it’s more like the Blackberry tablet but this Kindle Fire does not have a camera in it – so if you need a camera on your tablets than this is not for you.  But you never know when the camera would be included right?  like most new gadgets – we try not to buy the very first ones – because of all the bugs – that comes with it.  So i’m glad actually that it is not currently in Canada or will be anytime soon.  But yes – you can check your emails thru’ this Kindle Fire, read books, watch a movie or popular tv shows etc, etc.   So if you are on a budget – this is for you.

T’is’ just too funny !!  Facebook earns more than you know it – with so many subscribers – and they don’t need to charge you and I for using facebook – we are doing them a favor by using it.  You see all the paid ads – on the side of your facebook – at the right hand corner – well folks – those make more money for facebook than you can imagine – so yes!  stop being STUPID!

I was in the city a few days ago – and realized that there will be no big movie stores around here no more – folks like the Blockbusters and Movie Gallery are gone and had filed for bankruptcy.  I wonder if they had been having the same problems like us as independent movie store owners who get ripped off by unscrupulous individual who rents our new movies and refused to return them?  I have a list of collection agencies but because we are a small independent rental store – I doubt it is worth using a collection agency – even though our net loss for the last 12 years had been like $35K.  Therefore, I bet big stores like the Blockbusters and Movie Gallery must have need for these collection agencies to get their money back right?  so why the bankruptcy?  maybe they didn’t find a good one then – but of course there is more to it than meet the eyes – but no matter what – it does make it a lot more difficult for ppl to rent now – unless there are more folks like us the independent movie store owners – now it is to find a collection agency that would take on small businesses like ours.

There is a place where i get some of my movie links.. unfortunately today the owner of the site announced that they may not be able to put up so many movies.. due to bandwidth problems. .and had asked for support and donations.  I do really like the site .. and although owner doesn’t want to sell affliate links.. or banners.. to get money to support his site.. i think maybe he can use some sort of  membership cards for those who wants to watch movie on his site.  That way he kills 2 birds with one stone.. and just like MegaVideo.. those who wants unlimited viewing .. uploading and downloading.. pays for it. .i think this site should do that too.

I love the participation and i love all you wonderful ppl who comes over to my blog.. and get links to watch Gem of Life.  I received a very rude comment .. a few days ago.. from a reader.. asking me to broaden my mind .. for mentioning about the show (Ada & Terrence’s father), it was my opinion.. of course.. and i didn’t mean to upset anyone.. but just generally speaking.. afterall, it is MY BLOG RIGHT..??

Anyhow.. the rest of the comments that came after were from wonderful ppl.. of course.  Btw.. !! i banned that ignorant and abnoxious bugger.. from my blog.   But as a matter of discussion..  i want your say about the show of course.. and the recent one i want to talk about is .. what do you think about older man and younger woman.. like this TVB Series.. Gem of Life..??  Is it real love..?? or the money ..?? or both…??

And there is no right or wrong answer ok.. just general discussion .. what you think..  no need to flame anyone ok ..    I myself am married to a younger man..  he is 8 yrs younger.. and we met on the INTERNET..!!! WOOHOO..!! and no .. i’m no spring chicken.. neither was he underage .. when we met.  Yes.. we are happily married.. with a brat who will be turning 5 in December..

At this point of time, I certainly do not want to be Sun Tan the Singaporean blogger who want online with her open sex life.  Exciting as it may be at that time, I’m sure even with about 4 million people in Singapore, you probably don’t want to be headlines on The New Paper a Singapore local gossip papers.  I had read in a forum that Sun Tan had not meant for this to be out in the open and that she is traumatized by it all and wants this to blow over.

Well.. girlfriend.. i doubt it will blow over anytime soon.  I choose not to published those explicit pictures here.. because i have a kid too.  But it’s out there in the internet.. and if i found it.. Sun Tan .. you know for sure.. that there are more than just the picture above.. and this one is the least explicit of the lot.. that i had seen today.

I don’t know how ppl do not think of the consequences before doing something like that.  And from the pictures and videos that i’ve seen so far.. Sun Tan was anything but traumatised.  She was indeed quite happy to be taking all these pictures and movies in the public.  So Sun Tan and other girls out there .. lesson learned eh.. if you are not willing for the world to see all your private sex pictures.. donch TAKE THEM ..!!! and DON’T POST IT ON THE WWW..!!  how dumb can one get eh..??

This email account which was previously used to communicate with you belongs to my ex boyfriend and upon learning of the circulation of the photos online, i went into this account to find out what was happening.

As mentioned earlier, I have no idea why this email account has been used to communicate with you and it truly have been in used by my ex bf. Ever since I discovered that this email has been used to sent the information to you by the tipster, I have changed the password. At the same time, I am also trying to deal with this issue of how the pictures got out from this account to your site.

I am appealing to you to put a stop to this entire matter as i really did not meant for this to happen whatever that had happened a year ago, I really wish to put it behind me. All that is happening right now is traumatising me deeply. I am deeply shaken and completely brought down.

Please, I hope you will not pursue this further.

My blogging buddies and I are going crazy over Moonlight Resonance and everyday they are hurrying me and asking me when i am going to give them a link for the next episode.  And you know how I am, I aimed to please, so much so that I had forgotten all about paying my car insurance. So nah..!! i’ll save the earth .. and save my money with another store.. because i know.. that by the time that $2 donation reaches the Canadian Women Foundation.. it wouldn’t be worth $2.

As at 4pm this afternoon . .the rain intensified.. and it is truly nasty out there. We closed our store at 6pm this evening and told Keegan to stay home and be safe. Glad we didn’t go on our “Eat My Way to Halifax” trip. The full brunt of Hurricane Noel is gonna hit us later on this evening.. and we donch know how much damage it will cause us here in Y-Town. So I am gonna quickly post this up.. so you all know that we are safe as at 7pm .. NS time. The skies turned from bright blue to dark black and rain began pelting.

Sometimes, I donch understand why ppl would go for pirated copies of Office or XP or anything. Afterall, you all know that it gets buggy after a few months..and you are going to run into trouble with it. For those who ain’t geeky or computer literate like me.. i’m sure i would be stumped.. should something comes up with an error.. and like me.. i’m sure you are gonna freak right out..!

So why do ppl who have money and all.. still wanna go for those pirated copies..?? i really donch understand it completely.  If i had as much money as they do.. i wouldn’t want to have anything to do with pirated copies.  Firstly, it’s wrong.. secondly .. too much of a hassle.. and thirdly.. it’s against the copyright laws.  So why risked it right..??  But nope.. 9 outta 10 customers that come  into our store.. they have pirated copies of something in their puter.. and when we suggest they get the legit copy.. all they think is we wanting more money outta them.  But it’s far from the truth.. because by getting a legit copy of XP.. you actually gained so much.. by just having all those updates and recovery done quickly.

It’s truly ironic..!! we own a video store.. and i donch watch much movies.. english ones.. i mean.. ! i mean.. i get all the new releases.. and even if it isn’t rented out on that day.. i still have no desire to really watch it.

Tell me.. it’s not ironic..!! when before .. when i had to pay for my movies.. yet.. i would be the first to be getting the newest..!! i guess humans are weird eh..??? can’t get .. so you have to try and get it.. but when you can get it easily and freely .. nope.. no way you are gonna rush for it.

And you know what ..?? i think it is the same.. when it comes to relationship..! the more you can get the gal or boy.. hahha!! the more.. die, die.. you gotta get/court her..!  Humans are sure funny creatures.. and wanna be tortured..??

I think you also fed-up to hear me rant about teenage pregnancy.. after reading my blog for so long. And once again.. we see acts of stupidity … and these are ppl we know so well. Nope.. he isn’t a relative.. or neither is she. Both are young..!! one is 19 and the other is 18..!

Can you imagine.. someone so young .. having kids..?? and loving the idea.. and donch know what kinda impact it would have in their life..?? So naive.. and yet not so innocent.. since they got pregnant..?? And it’s not even like the parents never taught the boy about protection. I can’t speak for the gal.. coz’ i donch know her well.. but the boy comes from a good family and all. Decent folks.. !! yet how in the hell did he get into these kinda mess..??

Of course he doesn’t feel like he is in a mess.. but he is moving away to go to college and bringing the pregnant g/f along..! How are they gonna make it..?? Seriously.. these kids do not have the reality sinked in yet.. !! and the boy told me.. oh.. her mother is only 2 hrs away..!! OMG..!! 2 hrs.. is very far..!! my MIL is 15mins away.. and i thought that was far.. when we needed help..!!

I was excited.. when i learned that someone in town was selling Wanton Soup for 10 bucks… a big bowl of it. I really donch mind paying for good food .. and guess what i got for 10 bucks.. ?? 24 wantons.. and the meat inside the wanton was small than a 1 cent coin.. !! Yup..!! you heard right..!! I mean it tasted alright and all.. but not worth the .40cents a wanton.

I assure you .. i can make better wantons than these.. !! so yup.. no more buying wanton from this person no more..!! it’s more than daylight robbery..!!! Even the chinese restaurant’s wanton soup is much more filling .. than these.. and they cooked them for you. These ones .. came frozen..!! what a real bummer..!!

But it’s alright..!! you never try you never know right..??

A few afternoon ago, while Chloe was watching TV.. and PB and I were busy doing our own things.. with a few customers in the store.. an ex- worker .. from 3.5yrs ago.. walked into our store.

I looked up.. and didn’t greet s/him as soon as i realized who it was. I’m not trying to be rude.. but really ppl like that .. i cannot phantom..! This fella .. bad-mouthed us.. even till today.. and the lastest was to Keegan our babysitter… !! asking Keegan to be careful of us.. because we deducted his pay of $120.00 3.5yrs ago. But he also conveniently forgot to tell Keegan’s b/f why we deducted his pay.

3.5yrs ago.. when I was having Chloe.. we hired him on.. to help out because I was going to deliver Chloe.. and being Christmas.. the store was very busy. Instead of helping us at the store.. thus giving PB and I free time.. to deal with the hospital and having a new baby.. everyday.. he loses money from the cashbox. Many a times.. we caught him giving back wrong change. And worst of all… he refused to collect a deposit from customer/s who had placed special orders during Christmas.. thus we lost some customer/s and irate a few too. His reason for not collecting a deposit was that “he didn’t feel right” since we didn’t have the product in stock”!!!!

Yesterday.. at the store.. a customer came in to ask PB when he would be going to her house.. to look at her puter.. and in the meantime.. she had asked PB to loan her 5 bucks. I didn’t hear it.. and only gotten to know about it.. later in the evening.. when PB and I were alone in the store.

5 bucks isn’t a huge deal.. to be honest.. but PB was afraid.. that if he starts doing that for her.. she might come back for more.. in the future. Isn’t it funny that ppl can go around asking another for money..??

Oh .. btw.. she is the one .. that expects PB to drop everything.. and send her home in his car. So last nite.. PB sort of said.. something to the effect that it was my fault.. for offering her rides.. in the first place. But how would i know she would be this way leh..?? I asked PB to offer her rides.. because she have walking difficulty, so i wanted to be kind ma.. but as usual lah.. we kinda be like sucker like that..!

PB got a shoe for free..!!! and i was the one who told him about the sponsored post from PayU2Blog.. and he got the FREE shoe . .and not me.. !! Boo Hoo Hoo..!! Why didn’t they choose me..??? Boohooohooo..!!

But that’s alright..!! they prolly send me a pacifier instead.. kekekkkee!! oh well.. all for the fun of stuff.. At least one of us got that Nike Shoe.. it’s cool eh..?? And since we are on shoes, PB bought a knock off of the crocs for her.. and this year .. she wants to wear it. We decided to buy her the knock off first.. to see if she would really wear it .. and if she does.. we’ll get the real crocs for her.. coz’ currently, they donch have her size nor the color i want for her. A month or so ago, I was approached by some Seafest organizer to participate in a ethnic food tasting for the Seafest for this year. Of course, I happily agreed thinking what a nice way to introduce Seafood Thai Pineapple Fried Rice or Fried Udon to the people here. I was all geared up to cook a store.. for at least 100 people who will be tasting my food. But knowing that when it comes to free food, one has gotta prepare more… because I’m sure there will be more people who will be attending seafest.

Little did i know.. that when i agreed to participate in this community service.. i can’t cook in my own kitchen.. and ingredients and other stuff are not provided either. Meaning.. i have to pay for the food .. from my own pocket..?? And cooking at the YMCA kitchen.. is sure inconvenient for me..!! how am i going to marinate.. and cook in a kitchen i am not familiar with..?? what about the pot and pans .. that i have to use..?? chopsticks.. and stuff..?? If i used my own.. is it against the hygiene regulations..??

I would have gladly cooked .. if they would provide the ingredients.. or if i can cook in my own kitchen… but with so much red tape.. i told the lady from the Agriculture department.. that i won’t be able to do it. I really do wanna do the community service.. but truth be told.. i doubt ppl here would appreciate. So i’m not gonna waste my time.. and a few hundred bucks to come up with 100 samples.
