I love Jamie Oliver..! who wouldn’t right..! the British Chef, who can whip up just about anything.. from nothing. He is gonna return to Food Network with a totally new series called Jamie At Home in January. I can’t wait to see Jamie Oliver again.. i heard that it’s a more relaxing style this time… with loads of fresh recipes.
Well.. i should know all about ice wines.. after being in Canada close to 7 yrs. Yup.. 7 years..! I was first introduced to Ice Wines in Canada when my g/f .. Coco.. told me.. to bring some ice wines home.. when i go home for a holiday.. for all the chinese herbs she sent me.So yes.. i went hunting for some of course.. just to courier a bottle to her.
Made from frozen grapes this dessert wine is ultra smooth. The grapes used for ice wine will be left on the vine well into the winter. In freezing temperatures, the sugars and other dissolved solids do not freeze; only the water does, so the result is a supreme concentration of flavor and sweetness. Though the wines are rich, they retain a high natural acidity and therefore are not cloying. Ice wines are risky and difficult to make, a vintner could easily lose their entire crop gambling on the perfect freeze, so prices are usually very high. Fortunately, since it is a dessert wine, a small bottle will go a long way.
I’m definitely a social drinker, and like all social drinkers.. we like pretty drinks. But of course there are folks who just love their rum drinks like the famous long island. Working in the hotel industry had taught me quite a few things about drinks.. and Absolut drinks are definitely my favourite. In recent years, i’ve seen lots of other flavoured vodka by Absolut, I am indeed fascinated by the different colors of bottles but also the difference in taste as i sip my new drink.
Mixing my own drinks is an absolute joy. I love my drinks in a champagne glass because it’s so elegant. Champagne glasses are mostly used for sparkling drinks. I love crushed ice in my drinks of course.. I mostly prefer a vodka base of course, and one has to be really impressed by so many choices from Absolut. I chose the Absolut Raspberri, then i picked a blackberry liqueur, followed by a bitter lemon filler. A little garnish is a very nice touch.. and i chose a strawberry. So yes.. this is my very own mixer..but of course you can experiment with anything you might like because there is just no end to the drinks you can make from Absolut. Give it a try, you might enjoy it .. even if you don’t drink.
How can anyone not love this Domestic Goddess from England..! An english muffin she is .. that’s for sure. I just am able to relate to her.. and love her to bits. Her english accent.. and her curvy figure. I hate skinny domestic divas..!! Her new book is out.. and i can’t wait to get my hands on it. Some folks love Jamie Oliver.. i love Nigella Lawson.
A very typical kids movie. I wouldn’t really watched it .. if i had other movies to watch. I mean.. how can anyone or any airline let a few kids destroy so many things in the airport.. just doesn’t seem to make sense to me .. that’s all. But it’s a movie.. and a kids one for that matter.. so if i didn’t like it.. it does make sense.
It’s Christmas Eve and a huge blizzard has just shut down the airport, threatening to ruin holiday plans for all stranded travelers. Snowed in en route to their father’s house, two “Unaccompanied Minors”–dubbed UMs–Spencer and his little sister, Katherine, are ushered to the airport’s Unaccompanied Minors Room, a holding cell for dozens of stranded, parent-free kids from all over the country.
I was excited.. when i learned that someone in town was selling Wanton Soup for 10 bucks… a big bowl of it. I really donch mind paying for good food .. and guess what i got for 10 bucks.. ?? 24 wantons.. and the meat inside the wanton was small than a 1 cent coin.. !! Yup..!! you heard right..!! I mean it tasted alright and all.. but not worth the .40cents a wanton.
I assure you .. i can make better wantons than these.. !! so yup.. no more buying wanton from this person no more..!! it’s more than daylight robbery..!!! Even the chinese restaurant’s wanton soup is much more filling .. than these.. and they cooked them for you. These ones .. came frozen..!! what a real bummer..!!
But it’s alright..!! you never try you never know right..??
