Yesterday, I woke up trying to update my blog – but I couldn’t get into it – so i thought – maybe – it’s my ip changed that blocked myself out. I have a few spammers last year – and I had blocked them outta my blog – and sometimes with the change of IP – i can get block myself. I didn’t think much about it – till the spouse had an email from our host telling us that he needed to shut my blog down because there was an unusual surge of traffic. My poor little personal blog had gotten so much traffic that is slowing down the server? Truth be told I don’t understand it myself – because at any one time – only about 15 people is online – unlike many years ago – whereby about 100 people can be online at the same time.
If I owned a blog or website that is more popular or belongs to a company – then I need to look for a more professional web hosting or what they called a dedicated hosting to managed web hosting for me. But at the moment – I won’t need it but still it is frustrating to get your blog shut down every now and then and having these down times are just not good for the blog. But yes! if this continues i will have to look for some dedicated hosting.
I’ve been asked many a times by fellow blogger how one can make their blogs more popular and create more traffic. I’m no Lord Google – but I know that you need to submit your blogs/websites – and get incoming links – linking to your website. Try free directory which helps new blogger and old ones alike to get listed for free!! So there – if you want to be more popular – make sure you are listed on different directories to help you be more visible to the people who wants to find out the information you provide. For example – this blog is more about entertainment and product reviews – so when i submit my blog – i look for entertainment or product reviews as a category – pretty simple and easy. For those who knows me, I’m big on Christmas, not only because I am now in Canada but also because I now have a 6 yrs old who loves the idea of Santas and Santarinas. So when I was asked if I wanted to do a review for a feedback campaign for Collectibles Today for a Thomas Kindade snowman , I went like .. “ME…!! ME!!! ME!! PLEASEEEEE..!! “
As you all can see the snowman is pretty impressive and the second picture shows the detail inside the snowman – a small christmas village that lights up. The snowman and all the white for snow are really shiny .. and the village also light up .. when you turn the power on. What was most impressive with a lot of our customers that comes into our store (we own our own business) is the little train that goes round and round quietly.
It retails at Collectiblestoday.com for about $99 and what impressed us most was the packaging, they really packed it so well with styrofoam boxes and was so easy to set up, i received mine thru’ UPS and at first i was expecting a very small package but it turned out to be huge. I do love my Thomas Kindade Snowman and since i received it as a gift, you can be sure I will be talking about it for a long, long time. If you want to impress, show your appreciation or buy a meaning gift this Christmas and have money to spare, this is one that the mother-in-laws would appreciate.

Wow..!! finally it is over..!! Some of the parts i donch really understand.. but i guess the story tells us all to be good.. and kindness begets kindness. Follow the birdie .. to do some good for someone else today.. and you know you won’t be needing any diet pill to keep slim.. from sitting in front of the computer so long to watch movies. A good heart is always slim and beautiful eh..?? that’s what i think anyway. So do you bit of being kind.. and maybe something good will come to you. Follow the birdie now.
Today is the last day of Chinese New Year… and i’ve managed to train my brat to once again say .. Gong Hei Fatt Choi. I wished for all who visits this blog.. prosperity, happiness and health for the year of Ox. Hopefully, in the year of Ox, we will be fortunate enough to view some beautiful hotel rooms because the brat’s god-father works in a huge hotel chain in the West.
Time to say goodbye to this blog.. and move it to a private one..?? too much work for me too eh.
