I grew up watching Indian and Hindi movies and what I loved most about them were the dancing parts. No one can deny that these Indian actors and actresses sure can dance, and it always seems to be around trees. Trust me, if you haven’t watched one yet, go rent a Hindi movie to watch. Of course those days were long ago and I’m more than happy to see an Indian Actor make good in Hollywood, like Lavrenti Lopes.
Check out his first feature film, SubHysteria, this boyish looking actor from Mumbai has a few commercials under his belt already and has his sights set on Hollywood. In fact, one of them was pretty good and I can really identify with it because of my roots in Asia. Based on a story book - Twilight .. by Stephenie Meyer, this movie was much anticipated by fans who had read the book like my babysitter - Keegan. She was so excited .. i heard she even squeal while waiting to go into the movies.
This movie is about Vampires and falling in love of course. All about a gal risking everything to fall in love with a Vampire. Bella Swan was not an in-crowd kinda of gal.. and abit awkward like any teenager .. plus loves getting into trouble. She meets Edward Cullen who is not only handsome but intelligent.. but he had a secret to hide. Fell in love.. but people wouldn’t leave them alone.. nor will their family and friends. Watch it..!! thrilling and exciting.

For those who have been reading my blog for sometime now you would know that I had to bring my kid to the hospital on Sunday. We stayed in the emergency room for 6 hours before we got to see the doctor and truth be told, had it not been the disney figurines that were in the admission room, I don’t even know how to keep my sick kid occupied. Of course there were puzzles and blocks for her to play with too but that actually prompted me to go on a mission for mothers like myself with sick children and having to wait a ridiculous 6hrs for the doctor to send us home without any medication after a 5 minute look over.
Of course, with the recent scare we had over toys/food coming out of China, you have to be very careful what you buy and donate to the hospital for the sick children to play with. But with Mega Brands, a company that is no stranger to those of us here in the West, you don’t have to worry. My daughter’s first blocks were made by Mega Brands and we never had any trouble with it, be it the materials or the shape and size of the toys. Mega Brands promises to check, double check and triple check their toys to make sure that they are suitable for our children in terms of safety standards.
So if you are like me and thinking of picking up a few toys for your local childrens hospital, please don’t choose the dollar store stuff, get those made by Mega Brands. I am not saying that the dollar store brand is necessarily bad, but when there are kids involved you want to make sure that they will not come to any harm and Mega Brands promises that.
