The spouse’s cousin invited us to Kitchener in October to see America’s Legend Tony Bennett – and knowing that I grew up watching Tony Bennett sing – that was so nice of him.   Tony Bennett who has earned his first number-one album at the age of 85. “Duets 2” has sold 179,000 copies its first week out, according to his label.  Tony is the oldest living act to hit number one on the Billboard album chart.  The previous record holder was Bob Dylan, who was 67 when “Together Through Life” debuted at number one in 2009.

Tony Bennett’s show in Kitchener is at Center in the Square at 7.30pm on 26 October and tickets were said to go for at least $120 – so I’ve decided to get some Dutch Masters as a gift for the cousin to reciprocate – and also because I know he like cigars a lot.  And since I can get them so cheap and good – why not right?  no one refuses a gift of cigar – because they think I must have spent a lot of money for them.  Little do they know that I have my little secret place to get them at a good price.

So Gossip Girls is back this week – and already they have big stars like Elizabeth Hurley in the first episode.  So who is pregnant this time?   Will Sabrina’s “cousin” return this season? or will Hurley remain in the entire 5th season? So why did Dan not let Blair Waldorf thinks that it was her Prince who stood her up and not mentioned anything about getting the prince to help stop the magazine?  what is going on there?  was he trying to sabotage their wedding?    Yes! i loved gossips girls and can’t get enough of it.

So rumor has it that TVB stars are getting poached by another station – and today Louisa So speaks up and said that she had already been contacted by TVB  a year ago even before her contract is due.  Louisa feels that TVB is taking it positively and is currently offering better contracts to their artistes.  And even though she is happy with her raise – she said that other companies are offering better.  And she will make a move if the price was right – so there is no loyalty here eh?  money speaks the loudest – no matter what you did for anyone before.  Oh well!  can’t really blame the artistes can you?

Watching River of Wine Episode 23 on you tube now! woohoo!!!  darn early right today! can’t get any better because I’m chasing this show – because it’s definitely very exciting now.  Yesterday, we saw how Zheng Yu and his 3rd mother were put in a spot by Chi Zhun – the planned to make Zheng Yu and his 3rd mother looked like they were having an affair wasn’t even carefully planned – so much so that everyone could see that it was just a badly planned plot to get Zheng Yu outta the Song’s family.  Chi Zhun still don’t know that he is being made used of by magistrate and still thinks that he is being good to him.  Because of his dirty trick, he even lost his girlfriend, Yoke Fong.  But Zheng Yu went home to Leong’s family – that must be a good thing right?  but looks like 3rd mom wouldn’t be let off so easily by Chi Zhun!  what a terrible person right?   Follow the birdie – leave a comment for the synopsis.

How embarrassing for Mary Yee for mistaking that Mr Ko wants to propose to her during his book launch only to find out that he wants to announce to the world about his illegitimate daughter. The girlfriends in the States are all talking about the Kindle Fire – which is going on sale at $199 but darn!  it’s not for those living in Canada!  what a bummer!  but as expected – since we had to get our Kindle last year during Christmas thru’ a friend in the US and then got her to mail it to us.   Suxs! for us Canadians right?  but those in the USA – you can pre-order yours now and get yours mailed to you for free in November 2011.

So what is this Kindle Fire you asked – well – it’s supposed to work just like the iPad but it’s more like the Blackberry tablet but this Kindle Fire does not have a camera in it – so if you need a camera on your tablets than this is not for you.  But you never know when the camera would be included right?  like most new gadgets – we try not to buy the very first ones – because of all the bugs – that comes with it.  So i’m glad actually that it is not currently in Canada or will be anytime soon.  But yes – you can check your emails thru’ this Kindle Fire, read books, watch a movie or popular tv shows etc, etc.   So if you are on a budget – this is for you.

So SouthWest said that they are a family airline – so Lesbians kissing wasn’t alright with them – and they booted Lesbian Star – Leisha Hailey outta the plane with her partner.  I really don’t blame Leisha for being mad and bitching about it – but then again – were they kissing kissing – or doing more than that?  Well, we will never know will we?  But yes – if you are on a honeymoon or very much in love – better stay away from South West Airline?   But couldn’t have South West Airline handled it better ?  or maybe Leisha was being diva like on the airplane?  Well, there is always 2 sides to a coin right?  I’m sure everyone wants to be right here -  but will South West lose some passengers because of bad publicity?  I don’t really think so – since they are willing to work with the star personally to resolve the issue.

T’is’ just too funny !!  Facebook earns more than you know it – with so many subscribers – and they don’t need to charge you and I for using facebook – we are doing them a favor by using it.  You see all the paid ads – on the side of your facebook – at the right hand corner – well folks – those make more money for facebook than you can imagine – so yes!  stop being STUPID!

For those using Netflix – I’m sure you are aware of the changes on Netflix subscription and a lot of people out there are outrage – yada, yada, yada.  But we do use Netflix for my kid – for her cartoon shows – and paying $8 a month wasn’t a big deal but if anything more – we would rather she watches just regular tv shows.  But having said that Netflix does provide cartoons that my kid haven’t watch – so we didn’t mind paying that $8 a month – compared to buying her a movie each time she doesn’t have anything to watch.  But of course, there are some restraint where she is – and she can’t bring netflix wherever she is – like when she is at the store with us – she can’t watch it – because it’s only set up at home.  Well, in case you still don’t know where I’m going – Netflix will now have two different services – one remains as netflix and the other is called qwickster?   And even though it’s a few bucks – ppl are still upset with Reed Hastings for raising its price again – since December.  I’m just glad we own a movie store and don’t have to worry about more increase charges from Netflix – I bet Netflix will keep raising its prices as the years goes by – no business can keep their prices that low and still make the money they want.
