Yes! Netflix is in Canada – and yes my daughter is watching her cartoons on our netbooks although not the most recent cartoons but there are still lots to watch on the cartoon channels.   It is pretty easy to operate – no downloading or anything – you just go on netflix and you watch from their site.  Only $8 a month – but like I said – don’t expect the newest shows – they are shows from a year at the least.  I don’t know how the mailing works – but for now – $8 for unlimited cartoons for one kid – sure beats – having to go out and buy old movies for her for $5 and she only watches it once.  With a netbook – we can even travel with it – and she can watch it just about anywhere.   Gotta love having a netbook – only for $269 I think we bought ours for.

ComeBack Clan Episode 9 is out for watch ! So Glenn was hurt in an accident yesterday and Gabe’s father tried to break them up but failed.  Kay still is after the recipe for the See Mak Tea – and Glenn tries to do composing instead – of playing the Cello but still that musician didn’t think he was good enough for some reason.  So did Glenn meet an accident and hurt himself again ?  Follow the birdie for the password to the storyline. Good cigars can be quite expensive and to feed his love for cigars – the father-in-law found a cigar auction online.  But since he doesn’t go on the computer that much – we were left with the task to monitor the auction for him.   I was telling the spouse – what did people do without the internet – many moons ago?  life must be way boring – you gotta wait for everything from a catalog – now you can even find cigars online!   who would have thought eh?   So if you in-laws or your extended family is into cigars – you may wanna check out cigar auction too – we are also getting some for him for Christmas – so lots of time but great to be able to get some good quality cigars at a good price – gotta love the auction style though.

SomeDay Episode 77 is out for watch!  this sitcom is by far the most interesting – I seems to be watching it more than other long standing sitcoms from tvb – what about you ?  yesterday – 89 Cafe’s business wasn’t doing so well – they wanted to hire a feng shui master to look over the place – but Gou Boss don’t want to spend the money.  And his worker Ah Pok suggested they change the menu to entice the customer – in return he wants to be an apprentice.  Ah Pok’s menu failed but Gou Boss still accepted him a little more – and willing to impart some skills to him in the end.  Endurance?  or plain stupidity? For long time reader of this blog – I’m sure you all know that I’m struggling to keep my weight a healthy one and also trying to stay healthy for my kid and family.  For the last 11 yrs -  ever since coming to Canada – I feel I haven’t taken the best care of myself -and I do miss home – therefore movies and tv shows keeps me going – therefore – I like yakking with fans about the show and discussing them.

But ultimately, I still need to look out for my kid – for she is not even 7 yrs old and for those who knows her – you will know that she is a gift from God.  This year I decided that it was time for me to get some insurance for myself – just in case – one never know what tomorrow will bring.  Of course, I don’t want anything bad to happen – but given if something does – at least I know my child has some insurance to fall back on.  So I am now looking for some term life insurance rates to get insurance for myself but i also want to get the best rates – so I won’t be short-changed either.

I have always known that insurance is a good thing to have – in case an emergency arises – and for the sake of my family – even if I have to give up on my latte every day – to save for my insurance – I think it is worth it.  What about you?  do you have insurance in place for your family ?  how important is having insurance to you and your family?  do you think it is a waste of money?

Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 27 is out for watching! -  Mah Mah’s condition seems to be getting from bad to worst – that is so sad lor!  And now we know that Lou Tai Yan is  actually You Wei’s biological father  – he even mistaken that it was You Wei’s father’s fault that he was stolen from him at birth.  Lou Tai Yan even killed Chui Sim (the aunt of You Wei)  – who isn’t actually his aunt – we all knew that. Dua Fook is going to be a father soon – as his wife is pregnant – and Ngan Peng is accepted by You Wei’s mom because she saved her from an accident caused by Lou Tai Yan.  Lou Tai Yan seems to be working undercover for someone too.  Mannn!! this show is getting really complicated – but I’m sure you all wanna see what happens next right?  So follow the birdie for the password to the synopsis and yak session. You know Grey’s Anatomy Season 7 is out for watching!  I can’t believed that they had been running for 7 seasons already and I’ve watched every single one of them.  But you know as I was watching the first episode on tv the other day – I thought of the many people with illnesses and those who are on a Mesothelioma lawsuits.   You know watching a tv show or a movie – you kinda learn some stuff about your health and what the doctors and hospitals are all about.  They may not be the exact truth – but they sure show you some insight of different things that we don’t even come to imagine in our daily lives.   Do you know that every hospital has a team of lawyers working working with them and what about the insurance company for medication for the patients?   Yes! it’s amazing at the amount of lawsuit the hospital and doctors and nurses can face eh – i bet you didn’t even know about it – well – don’t feel bad – i didn’t either.

Fall is definitely here – it’s darn cold at night !  last night – we had to get out our heated blanket and I thought this year I was going to brave it out – but when you have a kid – you kinda need to keep her warm regardless how much you want to save in power bills.   We are just glad that we switched to use heated blankets instead of heating up the entire room – because power is very expensive in this part of the world.    It is absolutely safe – even though i had my reservations when I first came to Canada.  They now have heated gloves as well – which is a great thing – to have especially if you need to shovel as much as we do during winter.  Winter is really hard here – that’s the only thing i don’t like about living in Canada!

Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 26 is out for watching! -  The princess is saved in the nick of the time – by a special arrangement from the emperor.  Of course, the Quai Fei knows the truth to it – but ain’t doing anything about it at the moment.  Now that the princess is a commoner – she wants to try and help out the Kam family with the housework – only to be helped by everyone in the family.  Mah Mah has Alzheimer and can’t remember a lot of things.   And Ngan Peng and You Wei marriage is being stopped because their Pak Zhi don’t match – in fact matches horribly – therefore You Wei’s mother is really upset – but doesn’t know that You Wei’s Pak Zhi is not his – since he isn’t the “real” son. ComeBack Clan Episode 7 is out for watch ! yesterday’s episode – we saw Tung boss being extremely smart or is it crafty or can we call it kind?  the way he handled Qiu Jie’s case?  Glenn also lost his job because a student of his was lying but he managed to show the parent that the kid wasn’t such an angel.  Glenn also came to accept his “mother”  after she tried to do so many things for him.  This show quite confusing at the moment – don’t know who is the bad guy and who is the good.   Follow the birdie for the password to the storyline. SomeDay Episode 75 is out for watch!  yesterday – Zhang Qiu tells us there is the evil in us – the good and we need the angel to remind us to be good and tell ourselves that we are worthy.   So Zhang Qiu didn’t sell herself out to that Japanese guy for the sake of 2 branded bags -  but some people would and we all know that.  So she kept her dignity and signed a contract for Long Fook and even got to be friends with this Japanese guy.Anyhow – what would today bring? Many people would come into our store and tell us that they are going to start their own business – and we would congratulate them of course – afterall, you cannot but admire anyone who is gung-ho enough to be an entrepreneur. But one cannot help but wonder if they really know what they are getting themselves into?  From renting a shop place – a store front to every furniture in the store – the windows – the decor – stationary – barcode scanner , debit card machine, credit card machine – printer, fax machine – you get the drift right?

We have been in business for 11 yrs and every year – there is something to upgrade to keep up with technology and to keep the customer/s happy.  One can have a store without the product that the customer/s want – nor can you keep too much in stock – for fear that it would depreciate in value.  We all learned it the hard way – and I’m not about to go into detail with those who have all these high hopes – but yes – owning your own business is definitely no easy feat.   And for those who are going into it – my advice ?  be strong – read a lot – and make sure you don’t use your credit cards for inventory or buying equipments.

SomeDay Episode 74 is out for watch!  last week’s episode we saw Long Fook trying to hire on a actress for their store’s image model – and because of Simon – Ms Ming’s brother – the actress decided to remove her implants for health reasons.  And because of that – the actress fell in love with Simon?  but Simon rejected her and used Zhang Qiu as the reason for rejecting the actress. Or is it retail therapy it is called.  I never really believed that shopping does good for one – but after staying in Canada for this long – I can tell you – if the woman wants to go shopping – please let her shop – it may only be for  running shorts or even a warm up pants – the difference after she gets home from shopping – you can tell the difference.

I think shopping does good for the women because – it gives us some sort of control over our life – I feel a lot better after buying something for myself – and taking care of myself.  If men thinks that women are out to bust their bank cards – they are so wrong.  All the women want is to feel good not only for themselves but for their men too.  So hear it from the experienced woman here – let the wife or g/f go shopping whenever she wants.  I never shop for very expensive things – I just buy one or two  – and we will be very happy.  What about you?

Synopsis/ Plot
“The Fantastic Water Babes” is a romantic comedy starring Gillian Chung who plays an innocent girl dumped by her boyfriend and her plans to win back his love. She decides to learn how to swim to get her revenge through the help of a swim coach played by Alex Fong. During the process, they evolve from quarrelsome enemies to lovers. In the end Chung blossoms from a swimming novice to a fantastic water babe through Fong’s guidance.

To note, this film was actually intended to be released in 2008 but was shelved due to Gillian Chung’s infamous involvement in the disgraced actor-singer Edison Chen sex photo scandal.
