Synopsis:
As the proverb said “”With a distinguished father such as you, the son is sure to do well”. However, for this pair of Father and son, it is quite difficult because both of them have different characters, different way of doing things and even their life goals are totally different from each other. Father, Chor Fan (Sunny Chan) has feelings of a man in the 60s, Son, Chor Ci (Ron Ng) finds that he is too slow as compared to others who are living in the 21st Century. A comedy which shows a travel in time. The circumstances that happen will not only cause positive aftertaste, but allows one to think about the meaning behind ‘There’s no inborn talent to become a powerful person overnight; A good man should work hard and stand up strong on his own feet’.

Chor Ci from the 21st Century went back in time to the 60s when his father was in his youth. Father and Son became best of brothers. Chor Fan sheltered Chor Ci and Chor Ci came to know the stingy boss of the Noodle Stall Ko San Chuen (David Chiang), the fierce landlady Tam Lan Ching (Gigi Wong), Bickering Lover Ching Lan Fun (Shirley Yeung) and the rich young lady Leung Pin Pin (Nancy Wu). Chor Ci offended many people and seldom greet others. Hence, he wasn’t well liked by many other neighbours such as the police sergeant Ngau Ching Wing (Louis Yuen). There is only Chor Fan who protects him all the time and even introduced him to work at a departmental store. However, Chor Ci, who is over ambitious, only knows how to blame his father for being too old-fashioned and allows others to take advantage of him. Chor Ci almost caused many other neighbours to lose their homes. Chor Ci also spoilt his father’s relationship with the con-lady So Fung Nei (Myolie Wu). What’s so special
A time-travel show, going back to the simple and filled with compassion time period of the 1960s, and together with the father in his young days living at Yuen Long, they became close friends/”brothers”. This drama illustrates a special type of father-son relationship; warm-hearted and reminiscing the past times; light-hearted and humorous.

Story Outline:
The relationship between the father and son had always been distant. The son felt that the father’s set of principles were too outdated. The father always mentioned that he had a strange encounter in his younger days, but the son was certain that it was just his excuse to cover up his failure. During the period when their relationship was the most strained, the father met an accident and went into a coma, with his life hanging on a thread. The son was remorseful, and while feeling lost and helpless, he accidentally traveled back in time – returning to the younger days of his father…

The father and son actually became good friends. In this simple generation-period, the son learned how to get along with others again, and experienced how valuable relationships with his closed ones are. He even witnessed the strange encounter during his father’s younger days – which was actually that the father had met up with the son, whom wasn’t supposed to be born yet at that time…

For those who knows me, I’m big on Christmas, not only because I am now in Canada but also because I now have a 6 yrs old who loves the idea of Santas and Santarinas.  So when I was asked if I wanted to do a review for a feedback campaign for Collectibles Today for a  Thomas Kindade snowman , I went like  .. “ME…!! ME!!! ME!! PLEASEEEEE..!! “

As you all can see the snowman is pretty impressive and the second picture shows the detail inside the snowman – a small christmas village that lights up.  The snowman and all the white for snow are really shiny .. and the village also light up .. when you turn the power on.  What was most impressive with a lot of our customers that comes into our store (we own our own business) is the little train that goes round and round quietly.

It retails at Collectiblestoday.com for about $99 and what impressed us most was the packaging, they really packed it so well with styrofoam boxes and was so easy to set up, i received mine thru’ UPS and at first i was expecting a very small package but it turned out to be huge.  I do love my Thomas Kindade Snowman and since i received it as a gift, you can be sure I will be talking about it for a long, long time.  If you want to impress, show your appreciation or buy a meaning gift this Christmas and have money to spare, this is one that the mother-in-laws would appreciate.

Synopsis:

Looks like Bernice Liu is the new spokeswoman for a brand new slimming store called Perfect Shape.  But truth be told, asking Bernice to be the spokeswoman sure doesn’t really say a lot for the brand, because you and I know that Bernice is already so slim .. how much much can she go right?  Now if she was the spokewoman for a motorhome warranty that would fit a lot more.. don’t you think…??  Afterall, she is pretty westernized and spunky and sporty looking as well.

Anyhow, she did good during the opening ceremony of the store in Guangzhou.. and her Mandarin skills was excellent from what i heard and read.  Unfortunately, she stumbled when the emcee asked her what was her original weight before joining the program.. and as I expected.. how much more can one lose from her original weight right..??  Her head is already a lot bigger than her body.. hahah!!
