This was Sir Run Run Shaw when he was 100 yrs old.. and he is currently now 101 and the 6th uncle  is thinking of stepping down as chairman – about time eh.  And even though he is stepping down, it doesn’t mean that he isn’t gonna be a part of tvb .. afterall, tvb is his empire and he isn’t going into any business nor buying any truck accessories for the time being.  I was kinda surprised he didn’t name his wife Mona Fong as his successor instead she will remain as deputy chairwoman instead.   Mona Fong and Run Run Shaw is said to control 33% of the company.

Finally Born Rich Episode 1 is out for watching..!!!  woohoo..!!  just in time for my lunch.. ! well as soon as the boss gets back that is.  Which would you watch first..?? Born Rich..?? or Beyond The Realm Of Conscience..?? i choose the modern show anytime.. !! hope it doesn’t disappoint eh..! follow the birdie for the synopsis – part of the show must be filmed in Malaysia i think – sabah – KK.  So our Malaysian friends would definitely love this show.. since they can identify with the place -  some fast weight loss will be necessary after watching all 33 episodes of it.

Synopsis/ Plot
From the director of recent movies Laughing Gor and Turning Point, comes a action/thriller genre that’s reminiscent of the old HK action flix. The story here involves the brooding tension within a triad society which heightens when the mob boss is found murdered. His top and most trusted man, Bao, decides to manage a new organization and at the same time suppresses other triads who had previously been enjoying peace under the reign of the murdered boss. However, for a group of policemen, the fun is just beginning. For them, it is time to shake the triads down to its very foundations.

Originally, the movie was 100 minutes in length, but due to the realism of the story, actors Shawn Yue Man Lok, Chapman To Man Jat, Paul Wong Koon Chung and Chan Chi Chung all had a lot of foul language dialogues. Thus the film received a category III rating. The film company decides to release a category IIB version, thus editing out a lot of the coarse language and kept only some in order for more viewers to be able to see it, hence the final 87 minutes run time.

Sophisticated banker CHEUK YAT YUEN (Lui Leung Wai) mistakes con artist SA FU LOI (Lo Ka Leung) for his half brother CHEUK YAT MING, fortuitously elevating the swindler to one of the leading figures in the banking industry. The lost and found brotherhood has blinded YUEN to FU’s real nature and intentions.

YUEN is kidnapped overseas by a group of rioters. He undergoes a dramatic personality change after the incident. YUEN’s wife HO TSEUK NIN (Chik Mei Chun) has tried her best to console him but still cannot help him get over the unpleasant experience. Longing for more comfort and support, YUEN gets back with his ex-lover TUNG LING CHI (Kwok Ho Ying). SUM is attracted to FU too but thinking that they are true biological siblings, she decides to keep her love under wraps and stays with her long-term admirer KO TOK MAN (Ma Tak Chung) instead. This comes as a huge blow to FU. He is not willing to lose his love, but neither can he reveal his real identity. Caught up in the dilemma between love and money, FU finally chooses the fortune road of no return.

It is all about a tough battle for money, a devious triangle of love, and a severe challenge to ethics.
