If there is one food i missed most besides the local food i can only get from home .. is oysters. And because i love my oysters raw with a squish of lemon and a dash of tabasco sauce, I only eat them in restaurants, I don’t really want to get food poisoning eating them at home.
Like most people out there, I fell in love with eating Oysters because of the excellent source of zinc, vitamin b-12 and the omega 3 fatty acids that everyone said was good for our body. Some people said they are fishy in smell and taste but i loved it.. and working in the hotel industry does have it perks. If you love oysters as much as i do, you might just want to check if you are an at risk consumer because some may get seriously ill and if you are you might want to only eat those that have been post harvested, with this safety features, you can consume the oysters raw at a safer level or one can eat only fully cooked oysters like Gulf oysters.
