Crazy Chinese Woman

So China is having their own Apple store . .for the first time.. ! In conjunction with the 2008 Olympic Summer games in Beijing China, planning and contruction of an Apple store was included and due to open on or before August 8th. I think it is awesome..!!

Location of the new Apple store is at Qianmen Street, that is undergoing an extensive renovation. Construction is currently underway to repave the streets with green and white marble, restore building facades and re-introduce a tram and rebuild the existing Opera House. The street reopens in May .. and the cost of the construction work..?? about $40 million. This will be a only pedestrian shopping street in the city and you can expect to see international retailers like Starbucks, Addidas and the likes.

This would be interesting to see .. when I next visit Beijing.
