Crazy Chinese Woman

Asians are brought up differently from our Western counterparts. There are loads of superstition .. that even I practice till today. It is like an inborn thing in us.. afterall, we lived with our parents .. and surely you can understand .. that what they think do rubbed off on us. Audemars Piguet watch was what the man wanted for his birthday.. but the superstitious me of course would not hear of it, because the chinese believe that anything to do with clocks or watch are bad idea for gifts. Therefore even with new arrivals, I told the man.. that he has gotta get them for himself.. and pay for it himself… and I kept reminding him not to get me one. Reason : I’m superstitious!!

Every year.. i donch allow the brat to go out in the snow too often.. because it’s brrrr.. COLD..!! Like any mother.. i am worried.. that she might fall ill from the cold. Canada.. is really cold.. Ok..! But since she is way older now.. I think she needs to experience the joy of sliding from the top of the hill with her GrandAunt, cousins and Grammie.. and maybe daddy too. At $29.90 for the sled.. it’s quite affordable.  What about you ..??  would you let your kid play out in the snow..??

The mailman just throws my mails for the store into the open slot for movies because we are not allowed to have mailboxes outside our building. Strange as it may sounds, they have some sort of bylaw for it. So what do one do .. if you don’t have a slot like we do..?? Well… you’ll have to catch the mailman.. and have your business open as early as 8am.. because that is when he starts on his rounds.

I checked the weather.. and it’s still going good..!! woohoo..!!! that only means one thing eh..?? going to the CITY..!! WOOHOO..!! DHAMRA SUSHI and DIM SUM here i come..!!

This is our first mini vacation.. after so many years. And no worries.. about the store.. and staffing..! No morning employee..?? no worries.. we still survived.. and it has been almost a year..!!

I love Jamie Oliver..! who wouldn’t right..! the British Chef, who can whip up just about anything.. from nothing. He is gonna return to Food Network with a totally new series called Jamie At Home in January. I can’t wait to see Jamie Oliver again.. i heard that it’s a more relaxing style this time… with loads of fresh recipes.

Looking for a contractor to help us put up our french door in the tv room, left us having to start calling all the carpenters .. in the county by phone through our good old yellow pages. You probably guessed as much .. that we didn’t have alot of success. One had hurt his back, another had too many jobs already on hand.. and yet another was well.. but lived too far away.. and wanted to charged exorbitant prices. One would think that since it is winter.. it wouldn’t be this difficult to hire a carpenter.

When one relocate or move to a new community, a church and Sunday school for your kids is a definite must.  My mom used to say that we need food to nourish our body.. but we also have to take care of our soul with the word of God.   Churches in the Hartford CT area,  are of friendly atmosphere for worshipping and growing in the Lord here. Portable DVDs are nothing new in this time and age.. but because a very good friend.. is in the city .. in a hospital for a week.. or maybe more… i went looking for one of this.. so that it can keep him company .. while he is in the hospital. It suxs big time.. to be sitting in the hospital with nothing better to do in life. So something to entertain him.. would be nice. At $169 .. it’s a little more than i would wanna pay for myself.. but Gary is a good friend.. so it’s alright.

I love Hello Kitty alot..! and isn’t these pretty .. or what..?? I think I am a huge fan of Hello Kitty at 43, has to do with the fact that I was really deprived of cute stuff.. when I was a kid. It would be so fun to buy them.. and use them for lunch for kids. I bet.. my brat would love it too. Bento set comes with chopsticks, the chopstick casing and evening a dressing case.

We have more than 1 tv in the house. One 52″ one for the tv room, one for our room, and another one that is sitting on the floor of the dining room.. and another one in the basement. Yes.. a household of only 2 adults and 1 toddler.. we have a total of 4 tvs..! whatever for .. I donch know. When it comes to electronic stuff.. i leave it up to the man. But you see.. when he buys one to replace another .. we are therefore given hands me downs.. for other rooms.. and that is exactly what the man does. I just wished .. he would take care of the one in the dining room.. and get some real tv stands for them. Even the one in my bedroom, is on top of a dresser.

I’m seriously thinking of an espresso machine because i really miss my cup of espressos. Life can be quite tough .. without that little cup .. everyday.
